At Cross Church, we believe that true growth in faith comes from worshipping and learning together, no matter your age or background. Our church is a brand new church plant out of Cross Church in Carlinville, IL - where God has blessed and prepared the workers in his field to speak the Gospel to Riverton!
Our services are centered around four important things: Worship, Word, Fellowship and Prayer. Sunday services begin with contemporary worship, followed by a message by Lead Pastor Raymond Gregory, or one of our teaching pastors. Once a month we partake in communion together, and will often witness a baptism in the service. We end with an opportunity to recieve prayer and responsive worship. Services last under 90 minutes. After service there is an opportunity for fellowship and coffee!
Plan Your Visit
We begin service as a whole family, no matter your age, for worship and prayer. During the message, the kiddos are sent with Ms. Hannah to learn and explore God’s word together while the adults dive into God’s word!
Cross Kidz Safety
Your child’s safety is our number 1 priority. Every kid is checked in and given a sticker before worship begins. Once they are in their room, they only leave it with an adult if needed. We also ensure that once service starts, the doors to the children’s area are locked, and a hall monitor is in place. All volunteers must also complete paperwork and a background check to serve in Cross Kidz.
Class Breakdown
Our children’s ministry is broken up into a few groups. We have babies and crawlers, Downtown 1 - Stable Walking and Preschool, and Uptown 1 is K-5. We do this to ensure your child gets the necessary care and teaching at their level!
Raymond Gregory
SoCal born and raised, Raymond and his family were called of God 2.5 years ago to move to Central Illinois to pastor Cross Church in Carlinville and preach the Gospel with cultural relevance and biblical clarity. Raymond is now excited to bring the same vibrancy they experience in Carlinville to the Riverton area!
We learn from the Bible
We teach verse by verse through books of the Bible, and let God’s word inform every aspect of Christian life. Every message is accompanied by notes and practical takeaways that you can engage with all week long!
