How to Join
Any person may offer himself or herself as a candidate for membership at any church service in any of the following ways:
By Profession of Faith
For those persons who are accepting Jesus Christ as their Savior, and who are also agreeing to follow through with baptism by immersion.
As a Candidate for Baptism
For those persons who have already accepted Christ as Savior, but have not been baptized by immersion.
By Transfer of Letter
For those persons whose membership is in another church of like faith and order; having accepted Christ as Savior, and followed through with baptism by immersion.
By Statement of Faith
For those persons who have accepted Christ as Savior, followed through with baptism by immersion, and whose membership is in a church other than Baptist, or a church that no longer exists, etc. They can join our membership based on their “statement” of these facts.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Tim, any of the staff members or put a note in the offering plate or in the box at the back of the church.
What is Salvation?
Accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Savior is as easy as A, B, C.
Admit that you have sinned and repent (turn from) your sins. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
Believe in Jesus Christ and trust in Him for salvation. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.” Ephesians 2:8
Commit your life to Jesus. “If you confess that Jesus is your Lord, and you believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
Are you Ready to be baptized?
Biblically speaking, baptism does not save you. But it is an act of obedience, a public identification of our relationship with Christ, and a symbolic reminder of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.
Have you accepted Christ as your Savior but have not yet been baptized? If you are ready to be baptized or would like more information about baptism, contact Tim Rhodus at 854-2837.
